Carolina Marie Weatherby, more commonly known as Lina, Class of '72, Ravenclaw, was born in Liverpool, England, on December 7th, 1955, to Humbert Weatherby, an absent-minded Irish Healer who died in a freak Splinching accident in 1965, and Johanna Wycliffe (no relation to the famous Protestant radical), a deeply religious Muggle nurse. At the age of 10, when her mother discovered her father's magic roots upon his death, she impulsively sent Lina and her twin Eunice Elizabeth to a convent in Milan in hopes of eradicating their magical ability. They spent only two hours in Italy before being rescued by Humbert's younger sister, Margaret, who developed a deep relationship with the twins before sending them off to their education at Hogwarts.
Having had a sort of tumultous childhood, Lina became introverted. She took interest in learning about politics, history, and writing. As a Ravenclaw, she concentrated on learning as much as she could, but gave as little thought as possible to Muggle culture, having gathered a deep distaste for that from her dislike of her mother. Throughout her Hogwarts career, she achieved the highest grade in her year at least once for every course in Hogwarts, except Muggle Studies.
As an adult, she socialized more frequently, when she found that social skills were essential to climbing the corporate ladder. When she entered the Ministry of Magic upon her departure from Hogwarts, she decided a boycott against Muggle culture was no longer called for, and also worked at various positions, in various departments, having garnered enough NEWT's to do so. After a jaunt in the Department of Magical-Cooperation, she secured a position as secretary to the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Bartemius Crouch.
In her free time, she likes to read newspapers and magazaines, dabble in potions, and indulge in apple brandy. She dislikes uneducated people, poor citizens, and those who are unhesistant to speak their mind, however right they may be. Occasionally, she takes pleasure in Transfiguring living animals and leaving them in oddly shaped knick-knacks around her flat. Her subtle vices for cruelty will eventually lead her to the "Glow-in-the-Dark Lord", as she has nicknamed him, but for now, Lina is content to spend most of her time working as a secretary and plotting ways to gain more power.
Lina has two Kneazles and a marine tank full of Gillyweed.
